DO OR DIE
Many lives were lost in the recent Pakistani terror attack on Mumbai on 26-11-2008 Many a families lost their dear ones. I have witnessed this violent occurrence from very close quarters. Almost 200 innocent lives fell prey to the bullets of the terrorists and India's soul bathed in its very own blood. Whatever I witnessed disturbed me to an extent which left me incapacitated to do any work. I was feeling sorry at my helplessness. Sleep had left me under such circumstances brush and colour came to my rescue. Whatever I had witnessed has come out on the canvasses I do not know how good these works will be rated Yet I have expressed what I felt after seeing the dance of death.
How come a country like Pakistan which appears as a tiny spot on the world's map is daring to take on India? To me it appears that more than its own power Pakistan is aware of the impotency of our political leadership They know that they can kill hundreds of people and the Indian Government will not do a thing about it. At the most they will beg for justice from the United states. The present time is not for begging for justice…its an occasion to do something. I am not advocating war against Pakistan. Attacking Pakistan and humiliating them in war is not a big deal….it will be an easy option what is much more important in the present context is something else We will have to change our mindsets attitude and this is much more difficult. Unless our political leaders bureaucrats and each and every citizen of the country changes her/his attitude towards the nation, the outside forces will keep inflicting injury on us.
How many people in the country today live for the nation? How many youngsters today consider persons like Bhagatsingh, Rajguru, Subhash Chandra Bose as their ideals? Today we are reminded of the word Patriotism only on 15th August and 26th January when talking of Patriotism we blame it on our system. We blame it on our leaders and bureaucrats. But by putting blame alone we cannot shirk off our responsibility .I with folded hands request 100 corores of Indian people that the recent terror attach on Mumbai is a wake up call today it's a matter of your own life and lives of your dear ones. If you remain quiet today then tomorrow you or someone from your family may be a victim of terrorism If you want to remain alive you will have to take the responsibility we need to change our attitude towards our country that's why I have titled this Exhibition 'DO or DIE'
