EXPRESSION ON MY WORK Each and every artist have a dream to being the top his love, of passion love of art .I Amiya Nimai Dhara once dream to be a good artist,but now a days I think that quit famous I’ am. About my educational bio data I can share I have passed my Bachelors Degree specialized In Sculpture with First Class and Master Degree Specialised in Sculpture from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan, West Bengal. In my academic life, I have studied nature deeply, such as houses, trees, birds, animals. Santhal child and boys of figure’s expression, tribal village and valleys (khoi) by my sculpture and paintings according to conventional Santiniketan style. I have acquired the knowledge of working in all the possible mediums of my faculty with technical, such as plaster, cement, fiberglass, wood carving, terracotta, metal cast and stone etc. I have born in a remote village of Pranballavpur, P.O.- Chakadighi, Dist.- Burdwan, West Bengal, India. I have grown up with nature very intimately. I have spent my childhood in the mud house and have used terracotta utensils and see the temples of terracotta. From the beginning, I had knock to watch the traditional art of remote village. So, I have travel again and again from village to village. And I saw the “Terracotta” of Bankura / “Dokra” of Guskara (Burdwan) / “Clay toy” of Krishnanagar / “Wooden owl, Gouranga, Durga” of Natungram (Burdwan) etc. I have participated in this traditional camp and workshops. Mainly I have been influenced by wooden owl, Gouranga of Natungram (Burdwan). I collected the colours and forms of traditional that folk sculpture. I represent that traditional technique in my work with a modern concept and here my subject is on daily life. Now a days, I am doing experiment on clay (terracotta) ceramics and metal. As I am influenced by traditional art and my surrounding nature, the colours and forms specially revealed from those. Presently I am doing Paintings with varied Subjects and concepts related with Nature. The nature and surrounding s of villages of mud house of Santiniketan environment influenced me a lot of the Nobel Laureates Rabindranath Tagore`s Literatures has a deep impact in my Life. I am working presently with the concepts of Pretence of the human beings in day to days Life. the above concepts has got the various shades of dramatic presentation on the paper and canvasses.
