Dear Sir,
we are not a commercial organization and never want to make selling art as our business.
Thanks a lot for a quick response.
We are a not-for profit organisation.Every year very few artists pay full contribution money and Indian embassy helps us a lot to support our activity of promoting artists. If paintings are sold in exhibition, we give full amount to artists without getting any commission.
Please send me images of all artists that you have recommended.I will happy to include some of them in our exhibition. We really do not wish to take any commission from artists if paintings are sold.WE are printing a lovely catalogue too.we just need some contributions to cover the cost of exhibition / art gallery / catalogue / publicity / etc etc to make it a big scuccess.Indian Embassy and Indian cultural centre helps us every year in arranging a grand opening.every year and our Ambassador inaugurates the exhibition every year.We can invite some VIP from Indonesia too for the same.I need your guidance on these matters from you.
I know exactly about this our website and organization. Before I send you the image of artists' work, please let me explain to the ARTISTS about the agreement of this exhibition. Hope they can understand and join the exhibt. Please, give me more time contacting and explaining to them. NK
Well, this is a surprise to me. I think some of good Jogya artists already join with your website, including my group. We are three artists join here: Me ( Nurkholis), Hardiana and Hadi Soesanto.
I can recommend some other artist names: Eddy sulistyo, Sapto Adi, Wahyu Geiyonk, Kukuh Nuswantoro and Totok Buchori. They are all good artists. Tomorrow I will send you their art works images.
But one thing, as well as the agreement in your exhibition; that the artist should pay some fee....I'm not really sure that they can take part in your exhibition. But I will discuss with them and hope they will.
Normally artist in Jogya never pay fees in exhibition, but they share the commission of their selling works with gallery. Maybe they already have their schedule for exhibition in some art galleries, but I will try to ask them to join.
Regard
NK

Mr.Nurkholis,
I have decided to allot space in 10th Indian art exhibition in Jakarta for 5 excellent creative artists from Jogja. We do not need artists who are very famous and who are selling very well.We promote artists who actually need exposure and need us for exposure.
I request you to select 5 paintings/prints/photographs from 5 jogja artists.
Will you please do the job? we can together discuss the matter n decide the artists.
hey, thanks for stopping by.
yes infact i am a comic book illustrator and a concept artist.
i am still understanding the storytelling through this medium and to deconstruct it is really a long way to go. But there are various ways to interpret mythology and this is one way to. though i question the amount of interactions which happen between a viewer and a medium. also the point of view of its representation makes much impact. but then is strategic approach to art natural? well lets see. lot of work is still going on and will post it here. i really liked your experiments of body paintings. art on living canvas is oe thing i have always wanted to explore but due to a lot of restrictions still have not been. what is your ideology behind the art you represent?
