Loretta Paraguassu is currently involved in creating large watercolor and ink paintings that capture a sense of action and nature. Her colors are intense and an obsession with the quality of line is evident. Each painting is a new experience and starts with a different palette of color. The work is contemporary and creates an abstract world of its own.

Paraguassu is also known for her non-objective oil paintings and commissioned portraits.

She lives in the United States in Georgia. She holds a masters degree in film/video/art from GeorgiaStateUniversity. She also has a bachelor of arts degree in English literature from the University of California at Los Angeles.
